Introduction to Order Processing

The Order Processing (eOrder) eService provides Order Management functionality to customers and their suppliers.

Order Management ties in with DB Schenker's core transport management services:
While transport management focuses on efficient cargo dispatch and delivery, services in Order Management span wide across the customer’s whole supply chain process and are highly customized.

The Order Processing eService is capable of capturing the customer’s purchase order details on product level (SKU), provide online visibility of the production- and shipping progress on product level, and interface order management activities with shipment planning. It enables trained staff at branch locations and at customer control towers to monitor and manage the customer’s supply chain.

Schenker customers can create purchase orders (customer orders) manually via the Web interface, or via EDI access configured specifically for an individual customer Exchange EDI.

On the eSchenker main page you can access the Order Processing eService though the following icon:

Customer Order Process

The Purchase Order process requires the interaction of different user groups within the Order Processing (eOrder) eService. If the Supplier has no access to the Order Processing eService, Schenker can act on behalf of the Supplier, i.e. take over the Shipping Order creation.
